Wayne Koch contributed this photo of class L-2c Mohawk No. 2886, taken by Edwin Wilson at Harmon, New York, on April 28, 1939. Evaporative heating surface for the L-2 class varied depending on shopping history but averaged around 4600 square feet, with 1930 square feet of superheating surface. The grate area of all L-2, L-3 and L-4 Mohawks totaled 75 square feet. For other specifications of the class see the commentary for No. 2811.
