Pacific No. 3441 of class K-2k was an ALCo product of 1910, and was retired in 1933 before all the NYC's 4-6-2s (except those on the B&A, P&LE and P&E) were renumbered into the 4000 series. These engines had 79-inch drivers and 22x28-inch cylinders, and carried 200 p.s.i. of boiler pressure. They weighed 262,000 pounds and developed 29,160 pounds of tractive force — not enough to spare them after newer, and more powerful, passenger locomotives had appeared on the Central.  Wayne Koch provided this image, which K. E. Schlachter snapped at Harmon, New York on October 20, 1931.
