AT&SF 4-8-4 No. 2923 rests at Kansas City in September 1952, in an image saved from a discontinued Flickr site. The same image appears in the Railfan.net ABPR Archive but without attribution to the original photographer. Wartime restrictions on special alloy metals resulted in the use of steel throughout, which made the Santa Fe's 2900-class the heaviest 4-8-4s ever built.
