The Burlington Route provided this 3-foot gauge 2-6-0 as power for the "Deadwood Central" that transported visitors at the Fair. Erected in 1884 by Cooke Locomotive and Machine Works as Denver, South Park & Pacific No. 72, she became the No. 9 of CB&Q subsidiary Colorado & Southern in 1899. At the Railroad Fair she was given the name "Chief Crazy Horse." Afterward the locomotive was displayed at the Black Hills Central operation in South Dakota, but was purchased by the Colorado Historical Society in 1988. After rebuilding she was briefly restored to operation in 2006 on the Georgetown Loop Railroad, but is now displayed at Breckenridge, Colorado.
