In this photo of indeterminate origin, class J-1e Hudson No. 5334 appears in the 1930s at Harmon, New York, where New York Central trains transitioned between steam and electric power (note the electric third-rail structure paralleling the tracks). The locomotive appears to be backing into the station area to pick up its westbound (geographically northbound) train. This engine was retired from service and scrapped in 1953. The photo comes from the collection of  Wayne Koch.
