In an image from the collection of Carl Weber, PRR K-4s Pacific No. 3735 appears at Philadelphia on August 19, 1947. Like other members of this large class of 4-6-2s, No. 3735 displays the modernization package described in the commentary on No. 518, including the solid steel pilot and the platform that was used for inspection and maintenance of various front-end appliances. Notably, this engine also features disc centers on the main drivers, an upgrade rarely found on a K-4. No. 3735 belonged to a group of fifty engines of the class constructed by the PRR's Juniata Shops in 1920.
