The Railroad Fair featured an extensive display of historic locomotives. The Stourbridge Lion was the first steam locomotive to operate in the United States. Imported from Britain in 1829 for anthracite mine service at Honesdale, Pennsylvania, it was found to be too heavy for the track and was eventually broken up into parts. What remains of it is at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. The Delaware & Hudson built this replica in 1932.
