Penn Central GP40 3241 heads a three-unit lashup at Avon Yard, Indianapolis, on April 8, 1970. EMD delivered the unit new to PC in 1968 as a member of class EF-30; it had no previous NYC or PRR number. In 1976 the unit became Conrail 3241, but was sold to Guilford's Boston & Maine in 1984 where it was renumbered to 328. Today it is rostered by Pan Am Railways, the new name for Guilford. The photographer is David V. Leonard.
